We visit Mabula Game Lodge every year and always look...
We visit Mabula Game Lodge every year and always look forward to it. The chalets have amazing views, the staff and rangers are fantastic, and the game drives are always informative and enjoyable. We also really appreciate their conservation efforts — one of the main reasons we keep coming back.

The place is in urgent need of an upgrade. Almost all the kitchen items were dirty. The pots and pans were old and scratched. The knives were blunt. The dishwasher was broken. The bathroom mats looked like they belonged outside. The grill was rusty. The microwave is extremely old. The living room couches were terribly dirty, and the cushions were worn out and flat. The owner’s personal belongings, like cool boxes, were scattered around. The tap at the kitchen counter had no running water. The shower mats were mouldy.
The advertisement of the rooms on the website did not match what we got. The single beds were extremely hard, and the bedding was old.
The dishwasher was extremely dirty, mouldy, and broken.
The pool cues had no tips.
And I could go on and on!@

Loved the the experience of checking in the reception ladies...
Loved the the experience of checking in the reception ladies were very friendly. I wish they can renovate and update the hotel rooms it's outdated ,the sliding doors aren't working properly and fix the WiFi connection ,install fibre that would be better , activities are great really enjoyed ourselves with my family ,game drive, quads and massage enjoyed .enjoyed the bar and restaurant even though it's quite expensive!!!

The house itself is not well kept as there a few things...
The house itself is not well kept as there a few things broken and not well maintained. The location is a bit of a problem as nothing is accessible at Kareefontein but rather at the surrounding lodges. There is nothing really available on Kareefontein. The staff however are friendly and helpful

An excellent venue to get to the bush close to Gauteng and...
An excellent venue to get to the bush close to Gauteng and with all the game in close proximity. Mabula is a very well managed game park.
The accommodation is also very good and the F&B mostly met expectations
The pool experience needs some attention, particularly service during the day and in the evening.
Overall a great experience, one that would warrant a second visit.

I would consider for guest to take their golf gear and book...
I would consider for guest to take their golf gear and book at Zebula, in advance to enjoy a round of golf. If the weather is bad, there is not much to do at Mabula, except to relax and take in the fresh air of the bushveld and relax.

Bushtime at Marula Manager found us a place at a nearby hotel, but the hotel was full and did not have rooms to meet our numbers and standards. We booked a 6 sleeper at Bushtime at Marula and was provided a 2 roomed accomodation with small rooms. We were stranded as we arrived in the evening and with 3 small children, we were just grateful to have a roof over our heads. Bushtime at Mabula did a double booking and took my funds yet there was no accountability or remorse. I will not be returning to such an establishment

Mabula Lodge is an experience that should be taken up if given the chance. From the moment you arrive, you are warmly welcomed. The staff are sincere in their efforts to make your stay memorable. Job is an excellent, knowledgeable guide. The food is varied and always fresh and tasty. They have upgraded the Boma since we were here last and it radiates class. A pleasure indeed!

Breakfast at the hotel was very nice. also dinner with the live music was the best. The room at the hotel were clean, however the romantic setup(rose pedals) that i had requested was not done and i was disappointed
