N'taba river lodge is in my opinion the best accommodation in Port St. Johns. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The gardens are immaculate. The breakfast was also perfect.

We only stayed for 1 night, but it was an unforgettable experience. From check-in to check-out went seamlessly and all the staff and owners are unbelievably friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and well equipped, and unexpectedly modern for a facility so off the beaten track. The restaurant serves the most delicious meals. I can highly recommend AmaPondo to anyone travelling in the Port StJohn's area.

My stay at The Spotted Grunter Resort was very pleasant. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful mountain views and the tranquil river setting. The restaurant menu was a definite highlight, offering a nice variety of options, and the food itself was consistently good. The rooms were comfy and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I had booked self-catering and unfortunately had to depart early for my flight, missing breakfast, but overall, it was a very positive experience.
