Vaal is so beautiful.
Vaal is so beautiful. I was at Pont De Val winery for wine tasting. The staff was so friendly. We even got a tour and lesson on the process of wine making.
We stayed at Clivia Lodge, also so beautiful and a perfect venue for weddings.

Once you are in the Emerald Casino property it feels like a...
Once you are in the Emerald Casino property it feels like a different country.
The potholes and dilapidated area we drove through made us feel uneasy. Thank goodness we travelled during the day there and back. It will not be possible to travel there during night time. Far too dangerous.
I will not recommend Van der Bijl but i will most cetainly recommend The Emerald.

This town gives the feeling of Gauteng but in what feels like a safer space … it seems cared for and the people are a “great” mix of SA 🇿🇦 in their demeanour.
Great restaurants all over …
I got a puncture and I googled tyre places and there were options galore within 2km radius … I even bought 2 new tyres because the salesperson was nice. 😊
The Emfuleni Park and The Golf Estate add to the natural feel of the place, it doesn’t feel like a concrete jungle that Gauteng feels like.

The views of the river from the room, my wife could not stop...
The views of the river from the room, my wife could not stop gigling about the views. We literally took a photo on the bed and the river was in the background. At night with the blinds rolled back and the moonlight reflecting on the river - it was priceless.

I had a wonderful stay at Twin Quest House Astoni in Vanderbijlpark. It was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which really made a difference in my overall experience. The location was perfect, situated at a very convenient, safe and nice area, close to evertything I needed. The staff were also incredible friendly and helpfull. I highly recommend Twin Quest House Astoni to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay.

really great place to stay. it's cozy and inviting. quiet and you can hear yourself. Vanderbijlpark is a slower quiet area. if you need to wind down, this is the place to be.
