The place was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful — exactly what we needed. We had the most amazing experience and couldn't have asked for more. One of the highlights was meeting a sweet little dog named Mally, who we lovingly renamed Tash. We will definitely be back!

Location is very scenic and tranquil, rooms are extremely comfortable, staff is friendly and always available and willing to assist with quires and advice. Great fun to be had at their trout dams. Overall very relaxing and wonderful experience.

Joshua was helpful and kind. Did not like the location and noise from the local settlement. Check in was awkward as we were not expected. Booking.com was at fault for misleading us with a confirmation from the establishment!!

It's a lovely and convenient stop over if you're on your way...

It's a lovely and convenient stop over if you're on your way to Kruger park or Mozambique and surroundings, so that you don't have to waste entire days getting to your destination. The scenery is beautiful and there's lots to see and enjoy as part of your trip

The location and environment was the best.

The location and environment was the best. The hiking trail was great and the rooms were just right and the fire place, definitely on point. One of the other apartments, the toilet was blocking when flushing. The walking distance to and from the family house and the other 2 apartments we booked was exhausting.

It is simply stunning, currently having breakfast overlooking the cliffs and the valley. Brilliant little bar and amazing host. Food was great after a drive from the airport. Our family suite was just perfect for a family with two teenage daughters. this is a brilliant spot en route to the Kruger. We could not have been made to feel more welcome and would highly recommend Acra to anyone who is looking for a warm welcome, great views and something different from big corporate hotels.

We had an amazing stay at the Acra Retreat Hotel and couldn’t recommend it more highly. The owner, Holger, truly made our experience unforgettable. He went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and gave us plenty of great tips that really enhanced our trip. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the bar is a real highlight – a perfect place to relax and enjoy the evening. Thank you for such a special stay – we would love to come back!
