Cottages in Spitz

Comfortable, well appointed apartment in Spitz. Great location for exploring the local area. Close to Melk and other towns along the Danube.

- It is a private house, two stories. First floor living room, kitchen, bathroom and toilet. Second floor two bedrooms. Private parking up the driveway. There is only a staircase connecting the two floors so it is not for people with difficulty with the stairs. - all of the wine/jam is with cost. It is not free. - there is a balcony and a patio. Very nice to sit outside. View to the water from the patio.

The property is nicely located. It is in a quiet town which does not have much to recommend it, except for being quiet and restful of course. It is in the middle of the hills and woods with some fields around it. There is a little SPAR Supermarket and a bakery within walking distance for all your daily needs. All sightseeing in the area is within easy reach if you have a car. If you are looking for a "base" to stay and do your sight seeing from, this place is optimal. The property is enclosed and your dog can run free on the property. The host has several dogs herself, and the gardens do not touch. The host is super friendly, and will try to help. The property had bed sheets and towels available. There was an Iron, and a hairdryer. There were showers upstairs and downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who want to cook. There is also a (noisy) dishwasher. The property had enough space to sleep at least 6 people, so with 2 adults and a dog it felt very roomy (very luxurious feeling) The property was cool on the warmest days of the year (30+) downstairs even without Airco, but a bit hot upstairs.

We went to the Wachau Wine Festival and this house is convenient to the places we were going without being overwhelmed by the crowds that usually attend. The hosts were very nice and we achieved a feeling of mutual respect from the start.

Very old building. Nicely renovated. Clean. Comfortable. Very nice location. Short walk to the ruins and a nearby sandy beach for a lovely cold dip after a long day of biking😌

A beautiful house, in a beautiful location. It really felt like a home away from home, but maybe nicer than our own place!

We liked to wake up in the morning with rooster’s crowing in the green surounding of the village. Host was wery kind, He gave us bootle regional wine.
