Cottages in Oaxaca City

Overall our stay was great, once we got to the location we were amazed by the rustic look. The property is clean, peaceful and beautiful. The staff is very polite and helpful. The rooms layout is great, and very imaginative. The beds were comfortable and clean. All basic amenities were in working order. The breakfast was humble but absolutely delicious.

The staff was incredibly personable, I would go as far to say I consider them friends now. The property is extremely tranquil, clean, and overall laid out fantastically. I would live in this house if I could.

House is amazing!!! My daughters had an amazing time! They didn’t want to leave the house! Our host súper nice and helpful! We would gladly stay there every time we visit Oaxaca!

Everything about this stay was incredible. An open space perched on top of a mountain, surrounded by mountains, and close enough to Oaxaca to explore with ease. I chose to stay here because it was exactly what I needed—and exactly what my service dogs needed as well. I loved the town and every person I met. Pedro made my stay effortless, and he has an amazing rescued dog named Luna, who spent a lot of time with me and my dogs. My dog rescue foundation thrives because of humans like Pedro—people with huge hearts who choose to take in a dog and, by doing so, inspire others to do the same. For anyone traveling to Oaxaca who wants a real, authentic connection to Mexico, Loma Rabo Ratón has everything you need. Every local I encountered offered nothing but smiles and friendship.

Nice little apartment right outside the craziness. Easy walk into the old city. Comfortable bed, quiet neighborhood and a small mercado next door. The breakfast (eggs, snacks) and the beers in the fridge was a very nice gesture as well. Highly recommend this place for a stay in Oaxaca.

The city center is a couple blocks away, there is space to park the car inside and the staff is very friendly

The space was great and perfect for our group and better than what we expected. The owner was very helpful when we locked ourselves out of one of the rooms (each room/door has its own key which made it perfect for our group to split up and come and go separately). We were not clear on the layout from the description in the ad but each floor has two bedrooms (one with bathroom attached and one with bathroom outside in the hall). The full kitchen was very nice to have and the roof top terrace was incredible, great views and nice furniture to relax in the mornings or after a long day of enjoying the city. Location was perfect - close to some great restaurants, small grocery store and large bakery (and a nice little bar - la Cueva). The weather was unusually cold for Oaxaca so we asked for a few heaters - brand new ones were delivered the next day. The apartment/space was perfect for us (6) and we will rent again on a return trip.

The location was next to where we needed to be to have our car serviced and had space for 4 persons. That's why we chose this location. When we had issues with no hot water, and then no water at all ... the contact person "Karen" responded quickly as possible.
