The property is amazing and very well maintained, with a charming rustic vibe. It's the perfect place to connect with nature. We truly enjoyed every moment! The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary appliances, and towels and linens are provided. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming, always available with prompt and helpful assistance. They recommended great restaurants and offered guidance for booking various activities. Upon our arrival, the host kindly offered us fresh eggs from his chickens, and we made a delicious omelet! It was a thoughtful gesture, especially since we arrived late and didn’t have the energy to go out for dinner. We also appreciated the flexibility of late check-in and early check-out—thank you! A heads-up for future guests: the road leading to the property is quite bumpy, so an SUV is highly recommended. We rented a reliable car from our host, which we used for getting around town. More than a beautiful accommodation, Hillside retreat is part of Africa Amini life ( Humanitarian project including a school, a medical center , an orphanage ) it worse to go to there just to help them. The location was amazing with mount Meru view. Comfortable and spacious villa. Friendly and helpfull staff. For me nothing to change it was above my expectations and it was touching to meet all the Africa mini Life adults and childs.

Joyce and her family were absolutely fabulous. They came to the rescue after another lodge had cancelled on us upon check in. We had to make a last minute booking at 9pm to have a place to sleep for then ight, and Joyce welcomed us with open arms. She even prepared a very delicious dinner for us. The rooms were stylish and memorable, and all rooms had hot water. The property looked very beautiful - a nice big yard with the views of the jungle. There is also a very sweet pup. We are hoping to return to Songota Falls Lodge again in the future, and we highly recommend it to all travelers.
