United StatesStaff at the hotel. Baraka gave me a guided walking tour to Mweka Gate. Chefs would create personalized meals for me. Facility was clean everywhere. Views around the property were awesome. Get to view Kilimanjaro when it is not hiding behind the clouds. Staff in general was very nice. Since the property is at 4500 ft, it helped me acclimatize a bit before start of Kilimanjaro Trek..

United StatesThis is Africa at its best. The rooms are very spacious, and some have balconies with a view of Mount Kilimanjaro. It's only a 5-minute walk away from the gate of the park. Car service was readily available through the reception.The meals were delicious, and every single person on the staff has gone out of their way to make us feel at home.

It was close to Moshi town and convenient for us. It was very safe very green and lush with the view of Mount Kilimanjaro every evening the staff were really amazing. The host and owner of the place Gabriel was really kind and very informative very on top of things we really loved it. He was very kind to us was even able to organize some activities for us. Highly recommend this accommodation. We would definitely be back anytime we are in Moshi thank you so much Gabrielle, Lucy and Lydia.

Nice place with rooftop restaurant and bar. Lots of travelers stay at this place before and after they do safari or climb Mount Kilimanjaro. It's got a convenient location , very friendly staff, good communication. Free pick up from shuttle/bus station. They can arrange everything for, Mount Kilamanjaro trip including rental of gear, etc. Great place to store luggage safely as well while you do Mount Kilimanjaro trip.

Everything, from hotel pickup to breakfast and drop off, at Shimbwe Meadows you are not a guest but a family member, Beatus has an exceptional human relations, and Jane will bother you positively to make sure your belly action is not left unchecked. If you need a site of mount Kilimanjaro, this is the best location. I enjoyed my stay. I left my wallet at the property and Beatus was so kind to drive back to deliver. This was purely a home to stay, green environment and get some thick clothes it gets cold
