The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The venue had a relaxing atmosphere and the accommodation was comfortable. I would recommend this venue to any traveller. My two pets, a schnauzer dog and an African grey parrot were very calm and happy in the environment.

The facilities are safe and comfortable. After a day on the N1 it was just what I needed. The Padstal is fully stocked and the cottages have everything essential for a quick meal either inside or put. Water is hot and pressure is great. The a/c worked and there was no loadshedding to worry about with all the solar power.

Unit 20 is a stand-alone cottage which is spacious, with a huge kitchen and living area. Parking bay is right next to the entrance. Meals can be delivered to the unit. Whole complex appears very well maintained and orderly.

We stopped at Travalia on our way back home from visiting family and it was perfect. The cottage was a nice size and had a great braai area, our dog enjoyed being able to explore and the hosts arranged a cot for our baby with little notice as it was a last minute stop over. The dinner service which was conveniently brought to our cottage was lovely as well. We will for sure make this a stop over when we travel from now on.

Hostess Annalise was wonderful, and the Self catering unit is well appointed with indoor and outdoor braai facilities, and well equipped kitchenette. Annalise also provided pre-arranged braai pack which was delicious. A great Karoo stop-over or short break from the N1 traffic for peace and solitude, highly recommended.

Location was perfect between Johannesburg and Cape Town. Individual cottages were clean and had exactly what you required for an overnight stop.

The communicaton between the padstal and the lodge can be improved. We asked the lodge for closing time of the padstal as we wanted to eat dinner there but only to find the padstal closes way earlier that we were informed. Fortunatly the padstal kitchen helped us out but it was awkward as thet had to call staff back to help us.
