Pretty stone cottage carefully and tastefully restored with very comfortable furnishings. Two living rooms; one formal with wood heater would be great on winter nights. The back living room has a pretty outlook towards the vines and the beautiful trees on the property. Outdoor seating area under a vine covered pergola. Complimentary wine and delicious pasta which we ate on our first night. Very private and quiet. We were there on Good Friday so very little was open but the house was so pleasant we did not mind spending more time there. Dorham was very attentive to our needs and an excellent communicator. We would love to come back but it's a long way from home.

Beautifully appointed, fresh, bright, impeccably clean and with wonderful aspect across the vines. 2 large beds and sofa bed, all very comfortable and with lovely quality linen. One beautiful large bathroom. Generous breakfast provisions provided and great espresso coffee machine. The wine available by honesty system was a lovely touch. The property was easy to locate, check in instructions were clear and easy, and the owner kept in regular communication regarding the booking and any questions.

Amazing breakfast spread! Thank you! The cottage was really charming, and the fireplace a dream. Bathroom exquisite, and bedroom too of course. All in all, a great stay, with a fantastic location, within easy drive of most Barossa Valley sights.

Excellent location in easy walking distance to the main street, and other places of interest. Mataro Cottage is a wonderful little place, with everything you could possibly need for a stay. The house is well appointed, and very clean. All the little things were thought of, right down a little platter in the fridge on arrival, to the fireplace being stacked ready to light. I can't think of a single negative thing to say about our stay here. Absolutely recommend, and will definitely be back.

The Barossa Cottages are in a great location not too far from a number of Barossa Valley towns. The Stables provided 2 large queen bedrooms, a large bathroom (with an excellent shower) & kitchen/lounge/dining area. We didn't get to use the wood fire but it would be lovely & cosy in Winter. The outside area was lovely too. A nice spot to sit outside & enjoy the sun & some Barossa Valley wine!
