I chose the pousada for 1) its location, 2) the rate, 3) the likelihood of more Brazilian clients (i.e., away from the hyped-up resort type of pousadas), and 4) the reviews. The reviews mostly praised the friendliness of the staff. That was definitely a selling point. I could not agree more. The staff is excellent throughout the entire facility: polite, willing to help immediately, has a good sense of humor, and always smiles. Plus, the pousada was quiet at night for a relaxing sleep.

Best breakfast buffet! Great view of ocean. Nice pool area. Rooms are nice- standard. Bathroom has nowhere to hang towels after use. Surprised such a rich looking/feeling to a hotel doesn't offer basic toiletries.T

The property is amazing with a prime location within walking distance to Geriba beach. Extremely clean pousada. The staff is very attentive, courteous and friendly. I enjoyed my 6 night stay and would definitely come back!
