This is not a paid advertisement - but an actual opinion. And the first time I ever take the time to write a hotel review - but for Maria I will do one. The Maria Hotel is exceptional in every single way. Having stayed in many of the best hotels in the world, I am happy to say that Maria is among the very very best hotels that I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. If you are regular at the likes of Four Seasons etc, you will be extremely happy to stay at Maria. Without a shadow of a doubt, the best hotel in Finland and one of the best in the world. To say that the hotel is luxurious - would be an understatement - it is stunning and so well thought - the rooms are great, the beds are amazing and the facilities, such as the spa, sauna, bar, massages and restaurants and food are all five stars. Thank you very much for the entire team, who made us feel very welcome and comfortable from the first minute upon arrival - from the smiling and pro-active bellmen to Lisa at the reception, who gave us such a warm welcome and was truly the face of Maria from the first moment. Also big thanks to Bryan, who manages the Garden Terrace restaurant, who continued to amaze us with his wonderful hospitality, world class service, guest attendance, recommendations and positive energy. The Maria Hotel just became our new home in Helsinki :) Much recommended!

I liked the room. I was lucky to get a free upgrade to a double. The shower is clean and they provide body wash and shampoo. The kitchen had a complimentary tea, which was great. Really good for the price for Finland

The apartment was clean, good size and well located. About 1 km down to the main square. Check-in instructions were clear. The kitchen was well stocked. The bed was cozy and comfortable but I did miss having end tables. There is a large SMarket grocery across the river for supplies. The owner responded quickly to messages and was kind enough to let us check-in a bit early as our plane landed early. All in all, I think this apartment is a good solid choice in Helsinki and I recommend it. Note: to start the dishwasher, first a small lever on the kitchen tap must be turned.

Housed in a converted prison from 1837, this atmospheric hotel is found on Katajanokka Island in central Helsinki.

Excellent value! Great location, train stop literally right outside. Very cool atmosphere and design. Comfortable bed, underfloor heating in bathroom, very spacious king room. All food was good and so much was included (breakfast and dinner). All employees were very friendly and helpful.

Loved staying here. Staff were so helpful and friendly. My room was so comfortable and clean. I really did like the heated floor in the bathroom, a luxury. Breakfast was awesome, with so many choices. The hotel has so many comfortable places to sit and relax. Loved the faux fireplace. Great location within walking distance to everything I needed. Highly recommend staying here! I will come back and stay :)
