What I liked/enjoyed the most was the comfortable bed. Out of the 12 places I stayed in the 35 nights I was in Portugal, the bed at Casa da Belavista was THE most comfortable, which made for the best sleep. It seems most of the places I stayed get their mattresses from The Hard Mattress Store. Besides the bed, the apartment was clean, quiet and cozy. The kitchen was equipped to cook my own meals and has a washer/dryer combo machine that was convenient to launder some clothes. There are shops close by to buy provisions and wine, including Pingo Doce, which is about a 10-15 minute walk away. The apartment is just off a lively main street along the river, with a number of restaurants close by, as well as the trolley. The seaside beach is a short walk away as well. Luiz, the host, was attentive and available should I have any questions. I would definitely stay there the next time I'm in the area.

Exceptional! Gorgeous large home, the pictures don’t portray how beautiful and homey this hostel is. And the staff was lovely. 🥰 The place is immaculately clean. The bedsheets and towels are 5 stars hotel level.

The unit is set in Foz do Douro, a 15-minute drive from the Porto center. Some of the apartments in the unit feature views of the Ocean from its balcony.

Last minute booking , everything was the great. The staff were brilliant. Booked due to not being able to leave Porto due to wild fires. Got to the hotel the lady that let me in was fantastic. She showed me to the pool and then came back to me when my room was ready. Room was clean and tidy. I had the basement room which had 3 bed , sofas , fridge and kettle . As a last minute booking I couldn't fault them at all.
