B&B on Buckingham is in a safe, lush neighborhood in Craighall, so it's perfect for solo travelers, especially women. The rooms are minimalist, yet cozy, with beautiful views of the city uphill. They are well-maintained, equipped, and very clean (many thanks to Patricia for housekeeping!) You don't have to worry about load-shedding because the place runs on solar (a huge plus!). Most importantly, Gavin was an attentive and accommodating host (he allowed me to check out much later because my flight was in the evening). He also prepared breakfast for his guests himself -- a great personal touch, it was like being home. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!
Tip: If you're visiting for the first time, he will have some useful recommendations for you.

The atmosphere is refreshing. It feels like you are far away yet it's just around the corner if you are in and around Joburg.
The garden is out of this world. The decor and furniture are of high standard. The staff is professional they make you feel at home. The place is well maintained and spotlessly clean.
I like the way they treat people with love. They give us information before things happen. Eg. Johannesburg they where no water. They manage to fill their tanks before we arrived. Everything was good.
What I liked the most, the place was very clean💯 and the stuff was very friendly❤️❤️, the breakfast was to die for 🍳😋😋😋❤️❤️ mind you it was my husband's birthday on the 18th he enjoyed everything 🥰, they even allowed us to do a Lil deco in our room👌 ❤️❤️💃Thank you for hosting us we are definitely coming back with our kids ❤️❤️

The property is a gem hidden in Rosebank. The welcome letter and the complementary win from their most esteemed general manager was welcoming. The staffs were friendly and the breakfast was wow. I enjoyed my stay and I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
