Family hotels and homes in Salento

I cannot recommend this spot enough! Firstly, it is an excellent location, approximately 8-10mins walk from the main square depending on which route you take but it is also right on the south border of Salento so it has the most amazing views of the mountains. It is extremely safe here and you are given your own gate key so you can let yourself in and out as you wish. There is a daily breakfast service provided that consists of a few choices, all very delicious and always fresh off the stove. The view at the breakfast table really made every morning perfect. We had the room with the jacuzzi and it was so lovely! Extremely comfortable bed, decent desk for light work, smalk hanging space for clothes and beautiful views. The jacuzzi can only be run for 1h per night and you honestly don't need much more because the jets are quite strong. You can also use it as a tub whenever you like which is very nice for cold nights. All of that said, the best part of the hotel is by far the staff! The breakfast team is so kind and once they meet you, they are very quick to recognize your order (selected the night before) and bring it to you immediately. The front desk team is very lovely as well. We spent most of our time with Ruíz, who is one of the friendliest people we have ever met! We were always greeted with a huge smile and wave, even if we were just passing, and he gave us excellent recommendations for activities as well as answered any questions we had from bus schedules to town events. He speaks excellent English as well, which was very helpful for two tired travelers who could barely get their brains to work on arrival 😂 Be sure to tell him hello for us! He is on the night team so you will most likely meet him first if you are an international traveler as well, and he will take the most wonderful care of you.

We loved our stay here! We booked a family room which had a double bed, bunk bed and private bathroom and it was perfect for 3 of us. We ended up staying another night in Salento and luckily were able to extend our stay at CTBH in the same room. Our room included breakfast which was nice and varied, a choice of either choc chip pancakes, French toast or scrambled eggs and toast - all came with fruit. The hostel is definitely on the more boutique end, as it is beautiful and spacious, but still offers social activities and arranges different tours like mountain bike riding and horseback riding. The 24 hour tea and coffee available is amazing, as is how clean the place is kept including communal bathrooms. Our room was cleaned during our stay and we loved the amenities provided in the bathroom. The two huge hostel dogs are also a major positive about this place! It is further out of Salento than other accommodations, but this means it is more peaceful and quiet, and it is only about a 10-15 minute walk to get to the main square, restaurants and supermarkets

Perfect location, clean and comfortable. We loved all the Christmas decorations. Shared kitchen was great as well.

Tumbaga Hotel 88 is located close to everything, but at the corner of the street, so you get a good view of the mountains. The rooms are big and roomy with balconies. Shoutout to Santiago and the staff for making my stay even more cozy ♡

Overall it was amazing can't wait to share my experience with every one I know to come and visit the Hotel .

I have to reserve in the last minute with La Masia and everything was perfect. The staff are kindly, they include the breakfast and is amazing! Good food with a perfect view to the mountains

Staff, cats, such a cozy place.

The setting is spectacular. Bird watching under a wax palm right outside my room and sipping a delicous coffee was the perfect way to start my day. The staff is extremely helpful and hospitable. They made great recommendations for activities nearby including hikes in the spectacular Cocora Valley and the charming town of Salento. It was great to have a full bar on the property as well as other relaxed guests to hang with.

The staff was simply amazing, the breakfast was included and was delicious. The restaurant was exceptional. 1000/10 the food 😍

The property is located off a main high way between Salento and Filandia, it is a lovely finca with rustic furniture, a delicious fresh bread, cheese, jam and eggs for breakfast. The owner is a lovely woman who is highly hospitable and makes you feel at home. Worth the price!

Great staff, amenities and peaceful location

Location and home was beautiful, very spacious, very peaceful. Great amount of rooms and bathrooms. Hot tub was great, outdoor patio was beautiful as well.

Nice rooms and located a few minutes walk to the main square. Rating it 7 stars because we couldn't enter or drop our bags off when we arrived in the morning (7am) as there was no one working there, and sometimes it was hard to get in contact with them. We had to leave our bags at a different hostal across the road (Palmas) instead, and at 3pm the staff at the other hostal checked us in (it seems like both are run by the same people). Staff were friendly and helpful though.

Awesome room, very romantic setting. Full kitchen, minibar/fridge. Everything is top notch, up to how the best hotels should be. Great views, sunrises, lots of birds in the morning. Fresh fish dishes are available to buy. Very helpful staff!

Staff was very friendly and room was clean. Great location a short walk away from the main square, and good restaurants and cafes. Shower worked well with hot water. It was quiet in the area, for the most part, because the hotel is about 5 blocks away from the main square. The owners of the hotel also own a restaurant nearby which had excellent food with a great view. I ate there twice. Ask the staff about it.

The staff is lovely, attentive and so efficient.

The owners were amazing, very helpful and full of attention. We did not find a restaurant on Christmas Eve, and Doris cooked an incredible meal for us. The trucha was out of this world! The location is surrounded by beautiful nature and you will definitely get woken up by the cows mooing in the morning.
