Family hotels and homes in Taimali

I have stayed here twice now, the first was several years previous to now (2025). In both cases, I enjoyed my stay at this guest house and can say that it is clean and quiet and also tastefully decorated. It is located outside of the much busier village of Taimali, but not too far that you can’t scooter drive into the village to go to 711 or family Mart or local restaurant. The staff are friendly and courteous.

The facility is in good condition. Ventilated air goes throughout the building. Staying with the host is a real guesthouse.

Jumped off the train into this small town and stayed at this place which turned out to be a great decision.   It was a great price and pretty close to the train station.  Maybe a ten minute walk. The place was easy to find and felt very clean.  When we got there the owner asked us if we wanted the bigger room at no extra charge because it wasn't booked. The breakfast place that's just across the side street of the place was great.

Spacious room and lots of friendly cats. Everything was clean and comfortable.

This was my only home stay on my bicycle ride to circumnavigate the island and it stands out as a great experience. It's clean and a real pleasure to stay in a well-kept home with warm family members and pets all around. I only wish I arrived early enough (5:30 I think) to buy into their dinner. I am really grateful for their hospitality.

Breakfast is awesome and the hotel is relatively new.

Comfortable stay and nice hot springs.

A ten minute walk to Jhihben Forest area. The hilltop hot spring is really why you want to stay here. A great view while you soak in the water. The couple that runs the place are really nice, the wife even speaks a decent amount of English, enough for basic communication. They made a warm bean drink every morning as part of the breakfast. They mixed it with coffee and called it a “Taiwan cappuccino”. It’s worth a try.
