We had a wonderful stay at this traditional Japanese-style home in the countryside. From the moment we arrived, Chizu-san made us feel so welcomed with her warm and kind hospitality. She encouraged our three boys to relax and enjoy the space; they especially loved running around and playing in the large yard. The home itself was beautiful, full of charm, and very clean. The renovated bathroom was a great modern touch that made our stay even more comfortable. One of my favorite little moments was watching my youngest son light up as he watched the trains go by from the window. If you’re looking to experience the peaceful beauty of the Japanese countryside, I highly recommend staying here.

The staff were kind and friendly and knowledgeable - it was incredibly welcoming and comfortable to stay there. The dinosaur decorations everywhere were the cherry on top of the atmosphere!

Exceptional! Such cute town right by Eiheiji, shouldn't miss it. The place is a traditional house with large volume of rooms and facilities. So special from the history and craftsmanship and kind hosts and stories they tell us if we catch them. People in town are so so friendly. Shy in the beginning but only 5 minutes after, like old relatives. Highly recommended to take time and stay chez Sakai!

A 4-minute walk from Eiheiji Temple in Eiheiji, Eiheiji Hakujukan features accommodations with access to a public bath and open-air bath.

We had dinner and breakfast at the property. Both were excellent. So easy to reach by bus. So convenient to the temple. Kind and friendly staff. It was heaven!
