This apartment was perfect. The owner welcomed us at arrival with a glass of wine and showed us the apartment. He was very friendly and helpful during our stay and has lots of suggestions to do or visit in the surroundings. The apartment was very clean and all facilities were available. Our kids enjoyed the pool a lot!

The experience at Slowcanda was wonderful. We felt like home the minute we arrived. Everything is made with much love and good taste and the whole village is picturesque. Although we stayed only one night we would gladly return for a longer stay.

In a stunning location, the farmhouse is charming, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The host Marica is very kind and helpful and a wonderful cook. Gubbio, a very lovely city, is just 20 minutes away. The road to get to the agriturismo is narrow and winding and parts of it have a steep drop on one side, so you will want to be comfortable driving on a mountain road. Rather than driving back after dark, we decided to have dinner there and it was extremely good, as well as very reasonably priced. The Italian sweet breakfast is also tasty, with cakes made for on their own produce. For anyone who wants to be in a beautiful, mountain setting, this is the place to be.

If staying here again meant a 50 mile detour, I’ll come back. Dinner was one of the best meals I’ve eaten in a year (if not the best) and the value is unsurpassed. The space is clean, comfortable and the owners are kind. Even though it’s a little off the beaten path, stay here, you won’t regret it. HEADS UP: the staff does not speak English, but Google Translate is your best friend.
