The staff, amenities, food and service were excellent. It was our first visit and it exceeded our expectations! It would have been helpful to know that there was a hotel shuttle from the train station to the resort. I don’t believe that was mentioned in the information received from our booking.

Surrounded by lush greenery, Mampei Hotel offers free WiFi and free on-site private parking. JR Karuizawa Station is a 10-minute drive from this nonsmoking accommodations.

We liked the friendliness of the bilingual staff. We also enjoyed the cuisine at dinner and breakfast. I am a vegetarian but eat eggs, cheese and dash including fish sauce - the chef was able to accommodate my diet requirements.
