The hotel is beautiful with a lovely large spa area, with 5 saunas, a thermal pool with jets and a cold swimming pool outside. There is also a lovely area to read and relax in the spa area with hot tea and water. Beds and linens were super comfortable, very clean. The breakfast was amazing!!!! We were only here for the night, would love to have stayed longer.

We spent 5 nights at the Walhalla Hotel Regensburg Hoeferer. The beautifully maintained building has all the amenities one can expect from a high-quality hotel. The large garden is well-kept, the interior is designed with taste, the modern furnishings and appliances are of high quality. Everything is very clean and well cared for. The family is very nice; they made us feel at home. The breakfast is excellent and plentiful. The location, in a suburb of Regensburg, is perfect for a longer stay to explore eastern Bavaria. In sum, everything was perfect, we would love to go back!

The staff (especially the male server in the breakfast area) is very friendly and eager to make sure you have a great stay. Delicious breakfast, good coffee. If you are okay with staying outside of the city center (15-20min walking or 10-15min by bus), it's a perfect stay. I will definitely come again.

The hotel rooms were quite large. The breakfast was wonderful and very varied. The location was great…within walking distance from the train station.

Staff delivered consistently exceptional experience. Location couldn't have been better. Easy 10 minute walk to train station, one block from Christmas markets.

The location is right in the heart of the Old Town section of Regensburg. It is 1/2 block to the Christmas Market and Two Blocks from The Dom Cathedral. The Stone Bridge is very close and on the other side is an old Brewery. Even the Train Station is nearby. Take the “Town Tour Train” that stops in front of the church to get a quick overview of the Old Town. Very walkable area of town. Many antique stores, food, coffee shops. Next to the hotel is a Danish Pastry shop with very unique sweets. Our favorite was the Salted Caramel Walnut. The hotel is built on 700+ year old foundations and during renovations they found a Cat placed into the wall for Good Luck in 1425. The have him in the same wall location behind a glass panel, so you can say hello. Rooms are very modern and there is an elevator to the upper floors. Breakfast and coffee was very good each morning. Most guests were on holiday from the local Bavarian Region. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We attended a Christmas Eve Mass at the Cathedral and the Choir and Pipe Organ sounded wonderful as they sang Silent Night in German of course. The Mass and the ceremony were also in German, but as a Roman Catholic I knew all the places where you sit, stand, knell and respond to the Priest. Very special to see a 700 year old cathedral used for worship and not used an attraction. 1/3 of the people were tourists, but most people were there to worship on Christmas Eve, which is when the Christmas Angel comes to put up the Tree, Decorations, Sweets and Gifts. Many people sang the hymns and it was standing room only.

The location Is quaint, cozy, and elegant at the same time. The inner courtyard is beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast 🥞🍳 is abundant and with quality choices, but most of all it offers a beautiful view. It's in a wonderful location, enabling you to take long walks while touring the entire town.

Beautifully decorated, nice spacious room, and amazing breakfast! Also very conveniently located next to parking lot, and central to all the main sites. Would stay here again if we return!
