The Bus on the Hill was an amazingly quirky place to stay. Waking up to the views from the top deck was such a special treat. We usually go out and about on a holiday but we just couldn't drag ourselves away from the wonderful vistas. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We have totally recharged our batteries and even had a BBQ for breakfast. The hosts balanced a professional but friendly approach. And although they messaged to let us know we could get in touch if we needed anything, they didn't turn up and bother us at all (as some hosts do!). We would thoroughly recommend The Bus on the Hill if anyone is looking for an idyllic, off grid retreat. We can't thank Jane and Richard enough for letting us stay, and hopefully we'll be back again next year to celebrate Andrew's birthday.

Clean and tidy, great surroundings with views of the animals. Great communication from the host and was happy to help with any queries or local information. It was relaxing to watch the birds eating and the cabin is nice and warm with a wood burning stove.

This was our second stay and we're so glad we chose it again. It's such a beautiful and tranquil spot. Perfect base for visiting family in Ottery St Mary and exploring southeast Devon. My Guide Dog loved having a roam around the campsite first thing every morning. We were fortunate to have sun for most of our trip, so we enjoyed the outside area and had a barbeque. The hot tub was fab again and thankfully Jo had it ready for our arrival. Sitting there in the warm twilight with a cold glass of fizz was just what we needed after a long drive. The tent is so well appointed and the space to relax in and around has been thoughtfully created. Lovely to walk around the quiet local back roads to Talaton, where there's a lovely well stocked shop, which was impressively open on the bank holiday weekend, and a cosy, friendly traditional pub for a proper Sunday roast. It's a fantastic spot to rest and recharge, off the grid with no distractions. Definitely booking for next year!
