This place wasn’t just a hotel, it felt like a home away from home. The hotel is owned by two incredible sisters who have created something truly special. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us like family and made sure we felt cared for throughout our entire stay. Their kindness, warmth, and genuine hospitality are something you simply cannot find in most places. Every morning we were treated to a delicious breakfast made with so much care and love. Beyond that, they took the time to give us recommendations, tips, and local insights that made our experience in Berat even more memorable. The rooms, the atmosphere, the views, the hospitality...everything was exceptional. In a world full of luxury chain hotels, Katarat reminded us that true luxury is being cared for by people who genuinely want you to have an amazing experience. I would choose Katarat Hotel 200 times over any 5-star chain hotel. It is one of those rare places that stays with you long after you’ve left. 500/10. Thank you for making our time in Berat unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back.

The location, owner, and property itself were exceptional. I booked spontaneously for one night. After an amazing experience, I decided to book for two more nights. These two nights were the highlight of my time in Berat. I didn’t want to leave. I recommend for those looking to make lifelong memories in a very special city. Special thanks to the owner for all their help and attentiveness.

I had some issues with my itinerary and was unsure about staying in Berat, but after getting to the guest house I decided I had to stay. It was the place where I had the most authentic contact with locals during my travel around the country. The father is really nice and welcoming, he let me check in quite early and everything was clean and prepared for the guests. Comfortable beds and pillows with lockers, 2 towels per guest, slippers available, each room has a fridge and a jar of drinking water. The bathrooms were clean and with shampoo/soap. They also have an amazing terrace to relax. They offered me some local drinks in the evening and we talked about life in Albania. Thank you for hosting me, this was my favorite accommodation in Albania.

KRIS Guesthouse inside the castle walls was one of the best stays we had in Albania! The location is amazing, easy to find and easy to park. The guesthouse itself is a beautifully example of old architecture, with a great landscape view and plenty of places to relax and cool down during the summer time. The room was simple, but very comfortable and it even had amenities. Everyone greated us with a smile and although not everyone speaks English, it was easy to understand each other. Breakfast (with an amazing view) was very tasty and eggs were made different everyday. We highly recommend KRIS Guesthouse for your stay in Berat!

Everything was perfect! This place is a true gem. The host was incredibly welcoming. Everything was new, clean and comfortable. There were many cozy details and authentic traditional Albanian touches that made the stay special. The breakfast was excellent and very filling. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and authentic Albanian experience ❤️

Amazing experience. The host is super helpful, friendly, and the value for the money is insanely good. We had an issue with our car not starting in the morning, and the host was super nice and helped us get going. Definitely recommended.

Very good location, extremely welcoming hosts and super quiet room. Breakfast 10/10 and so filling we felt like pregnant after. For this price it's totally worth it!

I stayed in the Guesthouse Pashollari for 3 nights in the lovely Berat. The position of the guesthouse is perfect in less than 10 minutes you walk down the stairs and you reach the center, and the castle is 30 minutes walking away. The view from the garden watching the city during the breakfast is wonderful and relaxing. The owner and his son are kind and genuine people. The breakfast was very filling and tasty. The room was spacious and comfy. You can also ask for a tour to Osumi canyon Bogova waterfall and Tomori Mountain.

Everything was perfect! Room is modern and beautiful! With really beautiful views, a lot of green flowers in the balcony .The bed is really comfortable, in the bathroom we had a hairdryer. It was a pleasant stay in this place! We had 2 breakfasts, it was amazing, home made jam, home made milk, and other things!!! It was a generous breakfast! And it was delicious! Thank you so much!!!!

Berat has a lot of very good guest houses but this one is really special. The room was very new and everything was in place. Toilet was like a 5-star hotel one. But this is nothing compared to hospitality and the warm welcome of the couple, Lili and Vangjel, who managed the property. They were very hospitable and made our stay so enjoyable. Homemade and fresh breakfast was enormous and super delicious. Everything was so delicious that you couldn't skip even if you were full already. Couldn't recommend enough this place. It's totally worth every penny. Important to mention that they have available parking inside their villa as well.

The staff was friendly and always there to help. Breakfast was great in the balcony and the rooms are so new and stylish, such a comfortable mattress. You can really tell that they have invested and made great choices on their place and that they love to host people in it.

As it says in the name, it has incredibly wonderful view on the historical city of Berat. Amali was very helpful before we even arrived to Berat and reccomended us good rent a car agency. And we could also get a splash in their pool in front of the house :) also breakfasts were very delicious :) Ps: be aware to take some sport shoes, since the place is up the hill, so your calves will get even stronger :)

Spectacular view, great hosts and a perfect place for a family stay. The best escape from the everyday busy life.

One of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. The staff was so kind and welcoming. They truly went out of their way to make our stay feel like home. There is much to do on their property, and we felt so at peace in nature there. The food at the restaurant was delicious, along with the wine/raki. The rooms had a beautiful view of Mali Tomorrit, and overlooked lovely vineyards and olive groves. The beds were very comfortable, and everything in the room was clean and well kept. I couldn’t say enough good things to really give justice to this place. Book it!

This was an amazing stay during our vacation. We got a nice tour trough the vineyards from Ester and her father. The evening with the wine tasting and raki was also one to remember. Thanks!
