The location is the best we've had in Canterbury. We decided to stay a bit 'out of town' but within easy access of the amenities of Canterbury. The Blean forest is basically your garden, and even though a main road is closeby, you hear absolutely nothing of that. The owner makes sure that everything is in order, the rooms and en-suite bathrooms are clean, the mattresses made us sleep like babies! Breakfast has everything you could wish for, incl. homemade 'Full English' if you like that. 100% recommended, and we'll definitely be back.

Elmwood Lodge is located in Kent, just 5 miles from University of Kent and 6.3 miles from Canterbury West Train Station.

This is the perfect location if you want to pop into Whitstable for the day. The train station and McDonalds is only a short walk away. The hosts were very nice and even left a friendly note, snacks and drinks. It was very clean and had everything you would need. I highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

Very pleasently surprised, the accommodation was really done well and seemingly quite recently. while we were a little conceened walking up as it looked like a veyr average area and pub, it was very confortable and quiet. You need to go up quite a few stairs depending what level you are on, but for us that was not an issue (just to let anyone know that is not as mobile). We had a room that was in the roof line and amazing with the original oak beams. The pub was not at all reowdy even though it was a Saturday night and we had a lovely bedtime drink before retiring,

A delightful old pub close to the city center and its many tourist attractions. The ruins of the ancient water mill (hence Miller's Arms) on the River Stor remain alongside the pub.
