Me Old Abode is a cabin in the bottom of our 140ft garden. You have a lounge/diner/kitchenette in one room. A separate bathroom with a shower and a double bedroom. In the lounge there is a double sofa bed. This property is ideal for a family of four who want to self cater. We are a 10 minute walk from Herne Bay beach and 5 minute walk from the bus stop or 20 minutes from the train line directly into London.

Marie Reynolds and Philip Davis have been together for 27 years and have three children aged 17, 21 and 22. Marie owns her own catering company and has hosted foreign students for many years until the pandemic and always wanted her own B&B. Philip owns his own business and in lock down found a love of building hence Me Old Abode was born.

Herne Bay is a Victorian seaside resort idea for families. It has a pebble beach, arcades and a small pier. There are lots of eateries in the town, some independent shops and bars, there aren't any chains in the town. Herne Bay is 4 miles away from the fishing harbour of Whitstable famous for it's oysters and quirky shops and coffee culture. Canterbury with it's christian and literary history is 7 miles from Herne Bay, with beautiful architecture and where you can enjoy a river tour by punt.
