United StatesThere was one particular staff member who was so helpful, he showed us how to use the microwave and was just really kind. The view of this place is phenomenal, I know there were some fancier hotels at sea level and I think those really miss out on these gorgeous views. We watched sea eagles flying in and it was a delight. The onsen was wonderful and quiet. We had tatami beds and western beds. The common areas had beautiful views as well, cool hand painted murals, and interesting books. This place was just delightful with great views.

This is the such a homely guesthouse with the most welcoming and lovely host! The location is perfect with amazing viewing spots for sunrise and sunset less than a 10min walk away. It’s always nice and warm so if you’re there in winter it’s great to pop back and defrost after exploring. The smells from the café walking in are absolutely delicious and the food is wholesome and tasty. It’s a fantastic base for exploring Shiretoko National park, I’ll absolutely be coming back to see this magical place in every season!
