The guest house is amasing, very clean, 5 min to the Parc Peneda-Geres, the room big enough and you have a very beautiful view on the Mountains from your balkony. The staff is very accomodating, i had to leave at 6 am, so they opened the restaurant at this Time.

The location is excellent and well situated in the heart of the Gerés Region. São Bernardo de Claravel offers very clean rooms, each with it's own wc/shower and comfortable beds (appreciated after a long day's hike or walk). A shared kitchenette, on the lower level, is available to guests. It has a sitting/relaxing area, a microwave, a kettle, crockery, cutlery and a Delta Coffee machine (espressos, cappuccinos, etc at a fair price). Visitors can enjoy the beauty of the region by visiting the rural villages,the stunning waterfalls, forests, hike, picnic, mediate at São Bento da Porta Aberta, enjoy massages at the São Bento Hotel and finish the day with sundowners on the Orange Tree courtyard which overlooks the Caniçada Dam. A highly recommended holiday, especially for city dwellers who want to enjoy and be close to nature.

Together with my wife we had a great time at Jack's place. The rooms are very spacious, breakfast simple but very good. Parking spots available at the location. The staff is very friendly, especially Jack with his jokes and interesting stories from his life. Next time we are in Portugal we will most probably come back here and stay a litte longer than 2 nights. The Geres Park has a lot to offer.

Location and staff were amazing. The hotel is comfortable with everything you need for a good price. Breakfast was delicious with Portuguese pastry. Parking was easy, there’s a bar right in front of the hotel with free parking that worked great when the hotel parking was full. Staff also were kind to help us in that.

Breakfast was excellent every morning this nice lady would make us extra eggs always ask if everything was OK,she really went outta her way to make us feel comfortable.

What a lovely host! We felt so welcome. She prepared a lovely breakfast for us and encouraged us to make sandwiches to go for lunch. The room was clean. Nice little balcony. She tends a cute garden. Air conditioned. Convenient location to national park.

The staff were absolutely wonderful and cleaned the room everyday. The pool and view were great. Furthermore, the location is great as it's almost equidistant from all of the park and restaurants and shops are not even five minutes by car. Thanks for the stay! The bathroom was clean and the balcony was very enjoyable to use during the warm evenings. Very cute animals in the town as well!

It's really a lovely place. Spotlessly clean with nice atmosphere and very nice pool. Kids loved the pool. The breakfast was super fair for the price we paid for accommodation. It's very close to Jerez. The family who ran this business is very attentive and kind. We really like the stay there. It was an extremely fair price for the quality of accommodation and care we received.
