BelgiumThis was a truly memorable and awesome stay for us in Kumano. We were kindly welcomed in a house filled with figurines, games and toys from the early 2000s. The host was extremely kind and even helped us set up a projector to watch a movie! One of the most unique stays we’ve experienced in Japan so far! There’s also an incredible restaurant nearby called 食堂 あお where the owner speak English and we got to taste the best fish we’ve ever had! Overall highly recommend!!

The hostel is very close to the train station and is in an area with plenty of restaurant options. The staff, Mizuki, is very kind and friendly, helped me with all my questions and recommended several cool restaurants, which I loved. The hostel has a unique architecture, it reminded me of a tree house, the beds are comfortable and it is very clean.

The hostel is very close from two train stations, it's less than 7 min walk. Not a big deal if I want to walk back near the station for buying some supplies from convenient stores. The size of capsule room was bigger than expected, as I could even place my 26's luggage at the end of mattress. Plus there were two showers to use in a unit of 8, then that allows the waiting time to become less. Staffs are nice and friendly too.

Mr Imamura has obviously given a lot of thought to making guests comfortable in his property.
An example is many English/Japanese signs posted to let customers know where to find facilities and how to use them.
This guesthouse gives foreign customers an opportunity to experience life in an ordinary Japanese home.
Sleeping on a tatami floor is surprisingly good for the back.

I had a great stay here - the place was in a great location to explore Meoto Iwa and to go to Ise and Toba. The guesthouse was very very clean and also very comfortable, with so many facilities available, and incredibly, all run by one person! The host is very friendly and helpful, thank you for your kind hospitality and amazing work in running the guesthouse, I recommend others to stay here if exploring in the area!

The hostel is located inside Taikoji Temple, near Meoto Iwa and near the bus stops going to Toba and Ise Jingu. The temple is an evacuation site, there are signs instructing how to get there, thus very easy to find the way. The price is very cheap, the rooms are separated and the bathroom, toilet and dining room are shared.

Comfortable bed and cosy space. It was an enjoyable experience of the Japanese countryside. I rented an e-bike from the guesthouse and cycled to a cafe, restaurant, forest and river. The area is filled with many rice fields. Mari also brought us to Tsu one night to catch crabs.

The host was very funny and kind and took the time to help (such as dropping off luggage early). The stay has quite some value for the price. The place is well organized with ample facilities. The location is close to the JR station and can take you to your destination quickly.
