The best hostel I've ever stayed in! The host TRULY cares about his guests, organizes barbecues, keeps everything very clean and offers help at anytime. I stayed in the single bed room and would always do so again!

From arrival, Kishaba-san went out of his way to invite me to the local Kyuubon celebrations over the next few nights, and while there he introduced me to his family and a couple others. When I left to Naha and stayed at another hostel, I felt surprised by how much more comfortable and welcome I felt staying at Kishaba. Amenities are suitable, location is great, facilities are wonderful. The bed is comfortable, spacious, and private. Above all though, staying here made my trip to Ishigaki that much more memorable.

Everything was impeccably clean, and the family dinner each night is something special. I stayed on Christmas, and I enjoyed getting to know the family, staff, and the one other guest a little. Everyone tried to speak a little English with me so I wasn't left out of the conversation! Kitchen is very well stocked, and common areas are really nice and comfortable. It would be really relaxing for a longer stay.

My stay at Max's (and Happy's 🐈) place has been awesome. He showed me some hidden places of the island with his mini van and I hanged out also with his friends. In this place you can meet other travelers too!
