Search hanoks in Gyeongsangnam-do

This was the most fun stay of a 1 week trip to Korea. Understand that this is not a fancy place. It is a traditional hanok, which means a small room, mats on the floor for sleeping, and showers from the sink over a bathroom drain. (Works better than it sounds.) But - the location, steps away from a preserved traditional village, nestled into Korea’s mountain country - is beautiful, and delightfully off the beaten track. The landlady is gregarious and helpful - while my companion speaks Korean, I had numerous friendly exchanges with Google Translate. I was looking to explore Korea beyond the big cities. This was just what I was looking for.
