Great place, comfortable and well equipment apartment. Very cozy and authentic. Ocean view and patio are great bonus. Looooved all the little details. Good value for money.

We are a couple + a friend from Serbia who was celebrating his birthday here. One of the biggest presents was exactly our stay at Ocean's Edge. The spaciousness, the view, good taste and any possible detail you can think of being already there, made our stay unforgettable.

The house is decorated as a cozy place. Close to the harbor.

Great apartment. Very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. Salt, pepper, oil and vinegar were present as well as some coffee capsules. There was detergent for the laundry machine available. The layout of the apartment is well-thought-out and is tastefully decorated. It is at the north end of town and you need to walk about 20 minutes along the bay to get to the more busy part. We will definitely choose it again if we come back to Horta.

This property is absolutely a wonderful base for exploring Horta. We walked to most meals--please please go to Cantinho das Provas---an amazing local wine and tapas bar with wonderful service and a cozy atmosphere. I had already picked it out, but when we asked the property manager for advice he mentioned it right away. The host was communicative and responsive. There are several neighborhood cats (a plus for me.) You won't be able to park in front of the house, but there is ample free parking close enough. You can get to the nearby hiking trails right by the house, and there's a fun "perch" for drinking the local wine and overlooking the city. If we went back we'd go here.

Great location but you do need a car. It was easy to drive into Horta or hit the scenic roads to see the things on the island. One member of our group had to change plans, so there was plenty of space. We didn't use the kitchen for cooking other than reheating some left overs. It is close to a grocery store. There was great communication with the manager.

Everything about the place was great. The location was ideal—just a two-minute walk to a nearby grocery store and a ten-minute walk to Horta. There was plenty of parking right in front of the house. The house itself was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed: internet, TV, a fully equipped kitchen, blankets, towels, etc. The neighborhood was very quiet as well. During our week-long stay, we never heard anything at night except for dogs barking in the distance, which, of course, is everywhere in Portugal! :)

This fabulous location, very central, was perfect for our New Year’s stay. There was a nearby café for those needing an espresso or two in the morning. The house was clean and well-equipped, with a kitchen and bathroom that were both spotless. (On the plus side, the host even provided a complimentary wine bottle.) Since it was winter, we didn’t use the back patio (which would have been great in the summer), but we did use the laundry machine in the back. It worked well. The room was upstairs, which wasn’t a problem for us, but it might be an issue for older people or those with reduced mobility. The bed was a queen, which was a bit smaller than we prefer (we have a king at home), but the mattress was comfortable for our more than a week stay.

The location was exceptional. Right in the middle of everything. Communicating with Arlete was simple and she was extremely easy to get ahold of. Furthermore, she went the extra mile to set us up with contacts and amenities. She went above and beyond.

We were very pleased when we arrived at the property. The view is spectacular. The property is very well maintained. The natural wood and stone gave the interior a warm cottage like feeling. The special touches in the design made us feel right at home. We even saw a dolphin feeding frenzy from our porch through the binoculars on our last morning.
