SwitzerlandThe hosts are delightful! Nando and Paula make a real effort to make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need. We've rarely had such kind and gracious hosts in our travels. They even put up a Christmas tree and decorations for us (it was December)! They gave us fruit from their garden, and an interesting tour of their dairy. The house is lovingly restored and remains true to the old details. The kitchen is an interesting historic stone room with a giant fireplace (but the kitchen has modern fixtures) - cold in winter but they provided a good space heater. The bedrooms are comfortable and plenty warm, even in winter. The bathrooms are nice and modern.
