Homestays in Hangzhou

The hotel is next to a local temple with plenty of vegetarian dining options around and a canal-side market selling curated crafts. Hotel staff is generally helpful, and some of them can speak English, and the hotel itself is in a traditional building with a lovely inner yard and upper floors (cafe, rooftop, etc) where we found cosy working space. Our room is spacious with charming retro touches. Would love to go back if we have chance!

The bathrooms were excellent - it was winter and the hotel had installed a hot air blow in the shower cubicle. It was so clean and very nicely arranged. Even the room slippers were of good quality. Towels were thick. The reception staff (Rong Rong and Lulu) were so helpful and kind. They paid attention to our needs and could recommend places to eat and best sites in Hangzhou to visit. My mother in law had a fall and they went with us to the clinic to see that she was attended to well.

I cannot recommend this highly enough, we stayed for 3 nights and had the most amazing experience. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious and had lots of options. Coffee was great!! And the best of all was the service and help from the family who owned it. They are so helpful

Loved our stay at Rock & Wood Cozy House! Vivian was a great host and very accommodating! The house was well decorated and homey. The location was great. Vivian served as tea and snacks upon arrival, and provided a great breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended!

The owner upgraded me to a spacious double room (Wuluo), and the setup was fantastic. I spent four relaxing nights enjoying some peaceful “me time” in the cosy, quiet space.Temples and attractions are within walking distance, and buses to the attractions are also easily accessible nearby.

Very creative, comfortable room in a charming area, helpful staff, and great location

The property is located near botanical garden and at the end of the main restaurants/hotels area. During the night it was quiet. The garden is lovely specially in spring while fruits are ripen and trees are freshly green. I spent much time there listening to fish and the nine year old turtle. My room is small as I was solo. I have also used the Japanese room for my yoga. They serve nice quality tea and it’s part of the experience to be in the tea capital of south China. I plan to stay there again in my future visit.
