Such kind and welcoming hosts. The room is essentially in the "basement" of a family's home; but not in a typical way, since the rooms still have large windows and there is enough light and air current that it doesn't even seem like a basement while you're inside, only while entering you take the stairs downwards. Anyway, this means so much stuff is waiting for you there (small reliable kitchen and kitchenware, towels, even some soaps and shampoos, even TV with Chromecast!!), and if there is anything you need, owner Christian is always there to help. He even sent us messages translated to our native language, and let us meet their cutest dog Rosa, who the Villa is named after! (But do not worry, if anyone has a fear of dogs or allergies; Rosa lives with the family upstairs and is not let into the space for guests of course. We just specifically asked to meet her as soon as we found out she exists. :) ) The location, although a bit further from the center, is really close to two bus stops on which lines connect to all other important parts of the city. Also close to Netto, a bakery and a restaurant. And the map is waiting for you inside. Asked for a bit early check-in and much later check-out (on the last day mind you), and immediately got an "no problem!" answer; even 15:30 was fine, which we truly appreciated, because our flight was in the afternoon and one of us caught a small fever the same day. Cannot be grateful enough! I wish we had more time and felt better at the end so we could at least thank with some gifts, but I hope this review will do. Cheers! :)

I need to be straightforward. This is a bedroom in someone's apartment. You have exclusive use of a nice bathroom, but it is NOT connected to your bedroom. To travel to the bathroom, you would have to walk past the kitchen and other guest bedrooms. If that is what you are expecting and accepting, this property is very comfortable. You are sharing the kitchen and living space with other people. If you accept all these facts, the room itself is very large, with nice windows, a comfortable bed and space to hang your clothes. We had a shelf in the fridge in the kitchen assigned to us, and the kitchen itself was fully equipped. The location was wonderful, just a couple blocks from Tivoli Gardens, the train station, the city hall plaza, the subway, buses, etc. We were able to walk to most of the attractions. There is a Netto grocery store about 2 blocks away. We rode the bus straight from the airport, as the bus goes right down this street. You can get off at the stop before the river,which makes it a 3 block walk to the apartment, or at the stop at the city hall which is about 6 blocks past the apartment.
