I recently stayed at the wonderful Pension Katrapona in Getaria. I was with two friends in a room with three beds. I’ve travelled a lot with these friends and very often a room for three is just a double room with an extra bed crammed in. But at the Katrapona we had a huge, bright room with lots of space for our suitcases. The room and bed were very comfortable and a great breakfast was served in the morning which invcluded fresh tortilla and bizcocho made by Itxaso, who made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The Katrapona is in a beautiful old building that has been lovingly renovated right down by the harbour in Getaria. We very much enjoyed our two night stay in this gorgeous place. I would really recommend it if you are travelling in this lovely area.

Ita is an excellent hostess, her home is beautiful and it does have a fantastic view.

Very clean, large new bathroom, central location and quiet.

We loved the two separate outdoor terraces with two different views. We were able to dine on one, and then switch to the other if looking to sit in the sun or shade. The apartment was very bright and comfortable, plus the hosts provided so many basics upon arrival compared to other past rentals - that was very much appreciated. The hosts were very accessible when needed and really lovely. Loved the location as it's so convenient to the beach, train, restaurants etc. Also a nice bonus that beach chairs and an umbrella were available to bring to the beach. Great stay and would return again.

The Staff were Great. Very informative about local history and travel in Spain. The Property was Right on Beach with Spacious rooms and terraces.
