This is a basic hotel, but it had everything I was looking for : spotlessly clean, central location, friendly welcome and comfortable bedding. There is no breakfast service, but there is a common space with mini-fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee for 1 euro.

Hostal Estació is opposite the train and bus station in Puigcerdà. There is free parking and ski storage, and all heated rooms have cable TV and free Wi-Fi.

Nice location very close to the train station. Room had a balcony with a view across the valley. Being off-season when we were there, every shop was closed. The bar/restaurant on the ground floor was the only shop open in the whole town: thankfully meals there were excellent. An ideal place place to stay if you plan to visit the Pyrenees.
