We were initially a bit underwhelmed by the town and the last few 100m to the accommodation didn't lift our hopes but what a great place. Our room at least had windows on two sides: pleasant views, fresh air and not overlooked. The bed was comfortable, enough storage, a nice modern bathroom with good shower. Oh and a shared living room if you needed it. Yes a couple of 100m to the restaurants but for us a good compromise for the views. ps even the town grew on us

A small, but good, classic hotel with a reception. It is located within 10-minute walk from the center of town. We stayed in a large room on the upper floor, which offered a great view from the bed. We liked everything about the property. From the staff, the accommodations, the food, the location, it was all outstanding. Upon pick-up and arrival at the hotel we were greeted by the most attentive team. The hotel driver picked us up at the agreed location (we walked almost out of town and they picked us up once we told them where we were) and took us to the hotel. Nayon greeted us once we arrived and gave us the full tour. He then proceeded to make us an amazing Indian dinner which wasn’t on the menu. Gustavo (the owner) has assembled an amazing team and developed a wonderful property. What we appreciated most was how accommodating they were when we made a mistake and left behind one of our small bags. Gustavo came back to get us and took us to the hotel to look for the small bag. He then dropped us back off to start the hike. Crisis averted! If you don’t mind a location away from the main town of Palas de Rei then this is the location for you! Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the grounds a bit more but the weather wasn’t cooperating.
