Homestays in Rantepao

The hosts are incredibly accommodating and helpful. We asked Peso to create a tour for us and we were not disappointed! He is very knowledgeable and is thoughtful about his answers and where he takes you. Food was plentiful and we were greeted every afternoon with a delicious fruit drink. Everyone was so very nice. The bed was comfortable too. 😊

Room was large and clean. Nice outside sitting area with lovely small garden. Convenient location as base for exploring. Daud was an excellent guide and most helpful in all aspects of my stay. So happy I stayed with this family in their most inviting Homestay.

Loved the homestay so much extended by a few more nights. The family is adorable, there is a small op shop in front for your immediate needs. The host Paulus is amazing. Quiet location and great views of the rice paddy fields.

I really enjoyed the stay here! The family is very nice, the bed super comfy, and the breakfast great. The view to the mountain from the veranda is beautiful. I stayed four nights, traveling through to the north, and would have liked to stay longer. I didn't explore the area much, but there are tours available. I made some nice pictures of macro wildlife down the road. .

This is the place to stay if you would like to be connected to Toraja

The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The beds are excellent. The balcony is a great place to chill. Our host and hostess were sweet and helpful.

Everything! Our stay was perfect. Sarah (the owner) is a very great host and helped us with so many kind of different things! She and the whole family are incredibly kind. Sarah organized for example a guide, a motorbike and our bus back to Makassar. When somebody of us felt sick, she said was very caring and she did everything that we felt really comfortable. On top of all of that, she is one of the best baker we have ever seen (jam, bread, cake… all is homemade) and definitely the best in Indonesia!! She is creative, innovative and she built here in the middle of Tana Toraja a place where everybody just can feel like home! We would recommend our guide ASTRO: Sarah organized a guide called Astro. He is truly passionate about his work and tells you about everything and when you have a question he definitely will answer it. He did never hurry us and gave us all the time we needed to process this amazing culture in Tana Toraja. Astro was every time the first one, who knew news and rumors and that’s why we spent two wonderful days with him and enjoyed every single minute with this great guy.
