IndiaWe had a really comfortable stay at Elizabeth Home Stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained, which honestly matters more than fancy decor. The host was polite, responsive, and didn’t interfere unnecessarily but was always available when needed. The location is peaceful and ideal if you want a calm, homely environment instead of a noisy hotel vibe. Everything promised was delivered without drama. Good value for money, and I’d definitely stay here again.

IndiaFirstly, the location is quite picturesque with apple garden, meadows, river. The place is quite and if you really want to see the kashmiri village life then this homestay is perfect for you. Their baithak where they welcome guest will instantly make you feel home and give perfect kashmiri vibe.
Secondly, it's owner Firdaus was very friendly and welcoming in nature and showed us perfect kashmiri hospitality. My 5 yr old kid became very fond of him. He gave us a tour of the jungle and farms and we were mesmerized with it. This was a perfect start for our beautiful kashmir trip. Moreover, he helped us in arranging taxi for the whole kashmir trip.
So in the end go in this homestay for village experience, kashmiri hospitality, picture perfect location and last but not the least Firdaus Bhai friendliness.

CanadaWe had a wonderful stay at Oak Heaven Cottage Gulmarg. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was extremely cooperative, friendly, and always ready to help.
The food was very delicious, especially the traditional Kashmiri noon chai (salted tea), which was amazing. The Kashmiri bread was also very soft, fresh, and incredibly tasty. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gulmarg.

The homestay was really cozy, host ather went over and above to help us out whenever needed. The kitchen was such a life saver. It was stocked with utilities as well. One has option to order food and there are enough option from vegetarian, non-vegetarian to Kashmiri wazwan around the property.

My parents and family stayed in this beautiful homestay. The host Ather and his parents didn't make my family feel like they were away from home. They took great care of my parents and family. I am really thankful for the beautiful experience at your home.

I stayed there for two days with my wife and two kids. Was a bit nervous because of my first time in a home stay.
But felt safe and comfortable the whole time.
Very nice and prime location. Worth value for money. If you are planning for Gulmarg, perfect location. Highly recommended

Hospitality by the host which was very homely and both Mr Firdous and Ms Sabiya were really great in welcoming us in their traditional style.
Facialties are good but can be improved, which I am sure they will in future in terms of homestay....

The host family is very hospitable. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. All facilities available to make your stay comfortable - hot water, heater in room, cleanliness, good food, timely service. Very friendly people and helped us a lot in local sightseeing.
