The property is set in a serene valley, just West of Kyoto. It is quiet and peaceful, with great amenities. The host, Christian, goes above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable and having fun. With options like a glass blowing experience, a private traditional concert, delicious breakfast, planned excursions, and many others, this is the only place I know for a fact I will be returning to in Japan. Thank you so much Christian and Family! Your hospitality made our trip / belated honeymoon better than anyone else could have.

I love the traditional feel of this property! Staying in a house with tatami mats was a dream come true for me. The property was well kept and has a lot of character! If you like traditional japanese house 100% recommend this property! It’s about 40 mins from Kyoto but it was worth it! You can also take the scenic train ride from kyoto to the property! Amazing location!

This was a very nice place to stay and in a gorgeous part of Kyoto. The owner was extremely accommodating. I had needed a package sent here and she was extremely helpful and really cared. I would definitely recommend this place!

Ideally located just a 10-minute walk from the iconic Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Guest house Soi offers various rooms including private Japanese-style rooms and dormitory rooms.

We loved our stay here - everything was clean, comfortable beds including the sofa bed in the tatami area. The free breakfast was a bonus before we headed out for the day. The staff were welcoming and helpful especially when we used luggage transfer service. Great location, close to the bus and walking distance to ninenzaka and kiyomizu-dera temple. Our first day here it rained and they had umbrellas we could borrow which was great as we had not brought our own. Highly recommend a stay here!
