We booked the Chalet 'Hirondelle' for 8 persons (2 families). The appartment was perfect: all amenities, from fully fitted kitchen to barbecue, and wood for the outdoor fireplace. Excellent reception with the owners / managers. Great location to relax and enjoy the woods!

We liked everything about the property inside and out, the private and communal places, & the use of local products. I loved the robe - such a useful piece of clothing that is very difficult to pack, especially when cycling! Makadan is an interesting & comfortable bed and breakfast offered in the true style of a traditional B & B where the host converses in person, shares tourist tips, and makes a delicious breakfast.

I'm not a dog lover but was attracted by the price, location and great reviews. Incredible place. Very clean for starters - no dog hairs, e.g., on the inside, which I had been a bit worried about. And to my surprise I really loved THESE dogs - magnificent, strong animals but also well-behaved and gentle. They're obviously well-trained and well-treated. I almost didn't go on the morning walk, and that would have been a big mistake - it turned out (like for many people!) to be a highlight of my trip. I'd love to go back in the winter for the sledding. Also, as all reviewers rightly note, the owners are very friendly.
