Villanueva de Cordoba is a hidden gem and the hostal is more like a hotel, just without breakfast. The rooms are not big but very comfortable and clean and up to modern standards. Free street parking with no problem to find a space. Local bars and restaurants around the hotel with excellent food (tapas) for reasonable prices. The host was very friendly and responsive. Ideal home base to explore Cordoba and the surrounding area.

We planned to spend a couple of days in Sevilla but because of the Copa del Rey finals we couldn’t get a room so we decided to spend a night in Cordoba. It was a blessing that we got this opportunity…Cordoba is a beautiful city and the Pension Cibeles was a great place to stay. Very comfortable room and the aprensión was in an excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff.
