Clean and the owner were a good host

Wonderful home, our room was clean, huge and very new with all the essentials. The location right in central but very quite at night and day time. Highly recommended this family, Tom the owner, he very attentive and very useful where to go and where to eat in Sapa. We did a day trekking with family, Tom organized tour very well for us, we enjoyed it very much. Our local tour guide very impressive by her English. Definitely recommend this home to every one.

This is the best place in Sapa - that is a big statement and I am not one who likes to make statements like that - but it truly is. If you are unsure where to stay in Sapa, you've found your place. I travelled 5 months in SEA and this was my top 3 places in SEA. This place is outside of the main Sapa town which is perfect as you want to stay outside of the town. When I first arrived in Sapa, they organized a driver to pick me up from the bus stop - and he was friendly and drove around to 3-4 ATM's to find an ATM that worked for my card (Agribank worked). When I first arrived, I remember thinking "wow, this is a beautiful wooden - AAAHHH PUPPIES" before they ran towards and started licking my face and wagging their tails. They have 4 or 5 adorable puppies (this review is a few months later after my trip has ended), 2 friendly dogs and 3 cats. Every day, I would open the door and all the puppies would rush up to me to say good morning - I've barely left the room and I'm already smiling ear to ear! If you love friendly puppies, cats and dogs then this is your place to stay! The staff (Blue and Summer are the hosts - but all the girls are amazing and helpful) are so kind, fun and great to talk to. For some of the nights I was the only person there, and they would sometimes take time out of their day (they opened 2025 and are working finishing the second house) to ask how I was going and if I want to play chess with Blue. They offer tours, transport bookings and a restaurant. My favourite dish was the 80K beef fried rice. This is the best fried rice I've ever had - it wasn't greasy and tasted like a healthy meal with the vegetables tasting like they were picked that morning - you have to try it! The view of the valley from the house is stunning and you can also do card payment. I played chess with Blue all the time and I think I only won once (you've been warned) In summary: Cute, friendly puppies, dogs and cats.

The bungalows are so beautiful, immersed in lush greenery, huge garden and terrace with views of rice fields, the balcony of our bungalow, everything so clean and beautiful. Dihn's family is wonderful. I def recommend stsying here at least one night. They organise great trekking and other activities. Loved the experience.

The homestay is quite nice and super cozy, the staff is excellent. I like the environment and diffinitely want to stay there next time.

Sapa Hillcrest Homestay was our favorite of the three popular destinations we visited in Vietnam. If you are looking for an authentic, low-key experience with a local family, this is the place to be. The location is not located near a main road so there is walking/hiking involved. Pe, the owner, will assist you with directions and meet you at a nearby main road. The mountain roads can be very steep and difficult to walk for a person with less physical abilities. We are a family of seven (16 years old and older) and had one person that struggled with the walk. However, Pe and his family are happy to pick up you and/or your luggage and get you to the house by motorbikes. They were very accommodating, fed us delicious meals, and welcomed us like family. We loved experiencing daily life in the H'Mong village. Their house is in walking distance to Cat Cat Village, which I would highly recommend visiting. Sapa is also nearby. The walk through rice terraces and clouds was breath-taking. Pe's English-speaking skills are great, so we had no trouble with communication. We loved hanging out with the little kids by the fire and watching them interact with the family. The food was amazing and fresh from their farm. The beds were comfortable and had very warm comforters. This experience was invaluable and our favorite time while traveling through North Vietnam. Thank you, Pe and family! We hope to visit you again!
