First of all I would like to say a big thank you to all staff members involved in running this hostel. It was a great first place to stay for my first time visiting China. The staff are friendly and helpful, the cleaners keep the place tidy, there are plenty of sitting areas such as the bar on the first floor and the lounge on second floor for relaxing and socializing as well as playing games like pool. I would recommend this place to all travellers, the price is fair, location is convenient, friendly and helpful staff, and an overall feeling of comfort.

The location was central. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The reception staff were both kind and responsive. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Chengdu.

Amazing very friendly English speaking stuff! Help and solve any issues in no time! Taxy, activity recommendations, sim card, installing chinese applications, a fee cooking workshop, a warm friendly hug and sweet chitchatting about life - just perfect for a solo traveler like me. We had such a perfect time. Everyone is helpful and friendly and the coffee upstairs is amazing - if you’re from a coffee-drinking country like us you will be reminded of home. If you can try and do the walking tour, it’s a great way to immerse yourself in some of the history of Chengdu and Mix (the guide and hostel manager) is really good fun and very insightful. He and his sister are amazing hosts and I can wholeheartedly recommend any of their hostels. 5 stars is often a review given under some small duress but this one is genuine because I have a few minutes to spare and we have had such a great stay!

Conveniently located in the center of Chengdu, Holly's Hostel is within a 4-minute walk of Wuhou Memorial Temple and 1.9 miles of Kuanzhai Ancient Street.

Great location, close to the temple and park and Jin Li alley - lovely to be able to walk out on our first day in the city straight into exploring. Bed was comfy and bathroom had a shower with good pressure (not just a wet room). The staff were friendly and helpful. There are lots of things you can book via the hostel - like the Sichuan Opera (which was great fun, and which they helped us book just an hour before it started). There's a lovely Tibetan restaurant just opposite in the same alley (called The Great Elephant Dining Hall I think) and plenty more restaurants and cafes in the area. We didn't try the breakfast.
