Muru’s is a beyond FABULOUS place to stay near Hiriketiya! Muru welcomed us with delicious homemade mango juice upon arrival and was very accommodating with us checking in late as our bus was behind schedule. The location was PERFECT! 10 min walk to blue beach and about a 20 min walk to hiri bay. The room was excellent and the shared space on the balcony was great for hanging out and having breakfast every morning. Throughout our stay Muru made us some treats like coconut pancakes and rotis as well! Beautiful views from the balcony and a quiet local vibe. There is a kitchen with filtered water as well which was a huge plus. Muru and her family were extremely welcoming. Her brother was in town with his family for a few days and showed us around Dickwella as well as some great spots to eat. The walk to the main town of Dickwella is about 30 min but extremely worth it for some delicious food and bakeries. We loved it so much we extended our stay to 3 weeks! Dont hesitate to book a stay!

the lady who runs the place is so nice, she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed ❤️ they also make the best breakfast and the rooms, bathroom and kitchen are all very clean and nice. i will definitely stay here again if i’m in Hirikiteya!
