This was an idyllic hostel in a very remote, quiet village in what felt like the middle of nowhere. Was perfect for an escape from the hustle and bustle of normal life. The hostel was great with fantastic staff, it felt like being at home. It was also a very authentic Italian experience which is just what I was looking for. The hostel also organises art events and I happened to be there during a contemporary dance show which was an unexpected treat. The local restaurant was also fantastic.

Located in Alghero and within a 7-minute walk of Lido di Alghero Beach, Piccolo Catalunya Hostel has a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property.

One of the best accommodation in which I have stayed. Everything was fine. Our private room was perfect and has everything that we need during our 4-day stay in lovely Alghero. I would gladly reccommend this hostel to everyone!

Outstanding opportunity for comfortable stay in a beautiful location. Wonderful start to understanding Sant'Antioco. Ottavia and staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. Great breakfasts.

The staff are what make this place stand out - exceptional customer service. Incredibly friendly and they cannot do more for you. As peak tourist season hasn’t yet started, there were not many people, so after booking a bed in a shared dorm, I was instantly upgraded on arrival to a private room. Very comfortable, good bathroom facilities, excellent cleanliness, delicious breakfast and high quality coffee, good location with ample free parking (at least during my stay), and brilliant staff. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. After a week-long stay of going to the Poetto beach, just a short bus ride from the hostel, almost every day, I left my bathing suit and towel. They were immediately available to help find the lost items and send them back to me right away. Breakfast hours were long and casual for a quick bite in the morning, and the outdoor study space was invaluable when looking to socialize, study, or just relax after a day out in Cagliari. Highly recommend the Libreria Miele Amaro just around the corner.

I had a really good stay here! The place is super clean, more like hotel level, but at the same time it has the relaxed and friendly vibe of a hostel. It’s up on the hill above Gonnesa, a small village with a calm mood, nice to just walk around and grab dinner after the beach. In about 10 minutes by car you can get to a whole chain of beaches, from Fontanamare to Spiaggia di Porto Paglietto. Plenty to explore, so you won’t get bored even if you stay one or two weeks. Maurizio, the host, is just like the place he created – spot on, full of good energy, and always positive. All in all, a great mix of comfort, good vibes, and location. Definitely recommended.
