Best hostel I think I’ve ever stayed in. So homely! Super clean. Great kitchen and lounge area. Staff delightful. Location nice and quiet but short walk into the CBD or Ponsonby Street. Not a party hostel but I that’s not what I was after. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Amazing spot on top of a hill from which you have an amazing view of both sunset and dawn. Lovely host, plus you get cuddle Nisha free of charge (the happiest and sweetest German shepard that there is. Very clean as well. Great shower, bathroom and kitchen

Hostel location was great The rooms were clean Good WiFi But most importantly the receptionist Frank , a true gem , kind-hearted and extremely helpful He made my stay so smooth and memorable and wouldn't have had the same experience without him . I originally booked 4 nights and ended up staying for 6 more. It was a great place to slow down and have a home base for a bit. The staff were incredible - felt so welcomed, especially by Diego and Victoria. There's a well-equipped kitchen, lots of spaces to hang out, and the view from the front yard is amazing. Less than a five minute walk to the beach and the bus stop (love those stairs!) and easy 15 walk to the grocery store.

Attic Backpackers is conveniently set in the center of Auckland, and provides a shared lounge, free WiFi and a terrace. This 4-star hostel offers a shared kitchen.

Friendly, helpful, plenty of tips. Close to the city tower so easy to locate, close to the intercity and loads of life in the immediate area. Comfy beds, great kitchen with terrace, super showers and nice common rooms.

Ideally set in the Queen Street district of Auckland, Newton Lodge Auckland is located a 10-minute walk from Aotea Square, 0.6 miles from Auckland Art Gallery and a 12-minute walk from Aotea Centre.

Great location right in the CBD. It's like a giant hotel turned hostel with tons of floors you have to access with the lift. Space in the room was allright, things were kept clean, lots of shared bathrooms on each floor. Kitchen has lots of utensils.
