We are two local women a mother and daughter that started this journey together. We like to share the love for our region with the others, visitors and guests that want to spend some days in a friendly and joyful company and space. With the passion for preserving the local culture and tradition we decided to open the doors of a the house and give you the opportunity to be part of our everyday life. Being a housewife for nearly her entire life Zana knows everything about the region. She will explain calmly about the local culture and taditions while at the same time prepare delicious traditional meals solely with local products that will be served in her garden. Prespa`s Balcony Guesthouse is a welcoming cozy place that will give you the opportunity to feel like home while at the same time enjoying the quiet and beautiful Nature. The house itself fits with the local architecture and was build the owner himself. Details in the yard, the fireplace and the kitchen arch are bulit with stone that is handcarved. On the first floor you can find two of the bedrooms, the shared bathroom and the living room with a fireplace that you can enjoy during winter. You can find the kitchen and dinning area that can be used jointly by the guests. On the second floor, you can find two other bedrooms that also share a bathroom on that floor.From the Balcony room you get the chance to enjoy the view from a beautiful big terrace. In the rooms and in the joint areas you can also see exposed traditional pieces that give you the opportunity to see upclose details from the history and the culture of the Region and at the same time make you feel like you are time traveling. Traditional clothing, handmade pieces, details from the everyday life, significant elements that have the history behind. Prespa`s Balcony Guestohuse is located in the village of Dolna Gorica inside Prespa National Park, first National Park proclaimed in Albania. Located in small very friendly community you can feel welcomed and accepted like local while being able to be part of their everyday life. Located near the Prespa Lake, you will have the option of taking a boat trip and be able to see the Dalmatian Pelican and other birds in the lake, historical monuments like the eremite churches and the Monastery of Saint Marena. Everyday you can enjoy the view of the Golem Grad Island and the mountains around. You can take a boat trip to Maligrad Island from Pustec, take a hike or guided tour in the designated and marked hiking trails that offer you amazing views of the landscape of the Transboundary Prespa Basin and enjoying the rich nature and biodiversity of the Park. Just 3km away in the village of Gollomboc you can visit the museum of Sterjo Spasse. By taking a short walk you can visit Zaveri Gorge where the water from Prespa Lake flows into Ohrid Lake.
