Welcome to our cozy guesthouse in the heart of Gjirokastër! Located just a 10-minute walk from the Old Bazaar, our home offers two comfortable rooms with stunning views of the castle and a peaceful courtyard. Enjoy a rich homemade breakfast, free parking, and warm Albanian hospitality. Perfect for travelers seeking comfort, tradition, and authenticity in one of Albania’s most beautiful historic towns.
We are Ema and Eni – siblings who grew up in this very house with our family. After moving away from Gjirokastër for our studies, we decided to turn part of our family home into a guesthouse to share its warmth and history with travelers. We are available at any time for our guests, and communication is possible in Albanian, English, German, and Greek. Our parents still live in the house and are always happy to assist with anything you might need during your stay. You’ll experience not just a place to sleep, but a true Albanian home with real local hospitality.
Our guesthouse is located in the historic “11 Janari” neighborhood – one of the old quarters of Gjirokastër - a quiet, green, and authentic area of Gjirokastër, where mostly long-time local families live. Just a 5-minute walk down from the main street of the Old Bazaar. The house sits on a charming connecting road that leads to many traditional Gjirokastrian homes, museums, the Obelisk, and the main city square, where you’ll find cafes, restaurants, and all the essentials. It lies just below the city’s ancient castle, offering beautiful views of its stone walls. In only 5 minutes on foot, you can reach the famous “7 Fountains” (7 Kronjtë), and within 15 minutes you’ll be in the modern part of town.
