Finca La Penúltima used to be an apple orchard. On its four hectares we constructed a solar passive, 275 m2, house. During winter, the house heats by the sun. During summer, the insulation protects the house from heating up, so there is no need for air-conditioning. We are located in Villa 25 de Mayo, close to the pre-cordillera (Andes mountains). The posada consist of a Cabin (max.6 guests) and a Suite (max. 4 guests). The Cabin is 55m² has 2 bedrooms and a salon/dini g room. It comes with it's own terrace including BBQ and mud oven. The suite consists of 2 rooms, separated by a bathroom. It has its own private entrance with lock and key. You do not share with unknown people. If you reserve only one room, the other stays unoccupied. An interior patio with outdoor kitchen and grill is for you to use. From 1/12 till 1/4 children younger than 10 years are not admitted, this is to ensure tranquility on the finca and around our swimming pool.
We are a Dutch couple. We travelled all around the world and so we slept in many places. We try to offer our guest the very same thing we were always looking for: a nice and quiet place and attractive, comfortable and clean rooms. A home made breakfast is served at the hour that suits our guests.
Villa 25 de Mayo is a nice and quiet village at some 20 kilometres from San Rafael. Everything is there, but, fortunately, there is one thing missing: noise.
