The property is like a small hacienda, with separate casitas. Is in a residential neighborhood not in the city center (15-25 min walking distance, depending on where you would like to go). Good restaurants nearby (Anna Bistro the best) and coffee houses. Nice patio for relaxation and to share a bottle of wine.

A must stop place if you want to hike around the Aconcagua. Juan Pablo and Magalí are superb hosts, and will do their best to make you feel comfortable and welcome. They know the region inside out and have great tips on tours, treks and hikes for both beginners and experienced mountaineers. The accommodation is rustic but very cozy, and blends into the mountain atmosphere really well. The showers have nice pressure and very hot water, and the music playing in the eating area is always excellent. The evening meals are hearty and filling after a long day of hiking. Shoutout to Lolita, the friendly house cat!

This is gem of a spa hotel, set a few miles from Potrerillos. The setting is very tranquil, with the river running by the end of the gardens. The rooms are very spacious and there are plenty of sunbeds by the outdoor pool or over by the river to relax and enjoy the settings. The attached (but separately run) restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner. It was the perfect place to rest our weary legs, after a day doing the Confluencia hike, to the base camp of Aconcagua.

Everything. From the service we received to the breakfast and amenities provided, it exceeded our expectations. One day we were trying to enter the room and our key was not working properly, so a staff member saw us and without having to ask for help, he promptly offered to fix the issue. The way he handled showed the sense of care that is needed when you have a 4 stars hotel.

Mendoza is absolutely beautiful.

Mendoza is absolutely beautiful. We weren't here for long but we explored the local shops and saw the parque de san martin - highly recommend. The streets are clean, locals were very friendly and indulgent of my attempts at Spanish. One has to watch for panhandlers and pickpockets (hold on to your purses and bags in public. Shops take us dollars and I was able to use my debit card with no problem. Please see Mendoza!

san Rafael is a city oasis in the desert. with many recervoirs near it offers great hiking, biking, rafting, horse riding. nature is queen, a little spoil now with so many companies offering adventure activities. it is a must to drive the Atuel river canyon, a stunning natural beaty of Argentina. Las Leñas, a ski resort, can be the perfect place to relax in an exceptional beautiful setting. there are a few nice places to eat but the offers is short of quality. The adventure activities are expensive, all the main places in hands of companies. public transport is really expensive and not very good, is almost mandatory to rent a car. the area produces some outstanding wines rarely to see out the the city as there are a lot of boutique wineries.

A great area to go and explore, with stunning views up to the mountains and back over the plains towards Mendoza. We had a fantastic day horse riding with La Quebrada del Condor (ideally you hire a 4 wheel drive or you get them to pick you up) and a day hiking the Confluencia route to the base camp of Aconcagua. There were some lovely isolated lodges on the east side of Embalse Potrerillos, which we would loved to have stayed in, but they were fully booked.

Really bad.. poor quality, nothing to do. If there is no snow, like it happened to us, is just a super waste of money. And you cant know if there is snow there. Horrible food, horrible services, ultra expensive things. If you are in mendoza, just go to chile, vale nevado or something. Is better than this hole. Will be the same price and you will have some fun at least

You would need a reason to stay in Lujan, rather than in Mendoza city itself. Visiting family in our case, or the vinyards of course. Quiet compared to Mendoza but lacking big city amenities. Easy and cheap to Uber into the city. About 15 minutes. Public transport avaialble (but we did not use). Probably safer.

a small village with a couple of hotels, restaurants and ski equipment rental. There are thermal hydrogen sulphide baths, a ski resort 20 km away, mountains and a small river, there is a regular bus to Chile and Mendoza, no shops, no special entertainment, a gas station 50 km away. Much cheaper than staying directly at the ski resort.

an ordinary provincial town, it is interesting to see the mountains and vineyards, in the south of the province you can visit kayaking and you can also visit villa visensio, where the famous mineral water is bottled.I lived there for 2 years, met love there, and lost it there. The city sucks in its routine and boredom, run as soon as possible.

Old infrastructure and slow lift system but great people. You can walk everywhere. Shops are limited and don’t expect to self cater unless you can shop before you arrive. The instruction I witnessed was very good. Local Dr was amazing and very helpful like most of the people we met. This is the big attraction. Travel solo on the lifts you meet more people and get through the lines faster! I really enjoyed this experience. It is expensive though.
